I found this adorable owl at Pier 1, and luckily I had a coupon! So cute, he moves when a bright light or sun hits him. I will be keeping this on my desk so he can keep an eye on everyone :)

Target $1 spot! Picked up six little dustpans so students can clean up after themselves. I always find a million scraps of paper, or worse, hole punch circles all over the floor. Now they can put them conveniently in their own trash cans from above!

These were at Walmart and I couldn't resist, but I don't know what I'm going to do with them just yet :)

After seeing a TON of these on Pinterest, I made my own! I found the lanterns at Michael's on clearance, and went to town with my scrapbook paper!
Bonus, I did not expect them to have battery operated lights!

 
This one reminds me of the creepy fire gang from Labyrinth!

Here's the ribbon from Michaels, along with a stamp and a bonus owl eraser that I found in a set of Puzzle Erasers I had picked up at Office Depot!

Owl border from The Chalkboard, this is going to go around my "parking lot" that I'm still working on right now!

Fabric from Hobby Lobby for new curtains for my windows!

I am pretty short, just under 5 feet, so when I found this at 5 Below I was really excited!

    Teaching teens in the 21st century, this topics seems like to be very helpful, entertaining and attractive. I really red tgis twice all the points are quite different from each other and check out assignmentmasters review for unique info. Nothing is repeated and all the points are well described.

Writing Notebook: Finishing up "Write Ideas" and first Invitation: AAAWWUBBIS!

Happy Monday!! Today I am continuing on with the Writer's Notebook! Last time I left off, students had just finished their "100 Things I Love". After that, students completed their writing territories, which I got from Nancie Atwell's book   Lessons That Change Writers.  We spent the first day discussing writing territories out loud, going through the list in detail, so that students had ideas of what to write about. I told them to think of it like the caption for a picture. One to two sentences that could become something more. Students had to complete this for homework. We also completely numbered our table of contents so that we could add in sections and start working in other parts of the notebook.  Students wrote their writing territories on these pages. Then we moved on to the Writer's Eye (I). Students had to place terms that described them within their "I" or around their "Eye". I created my o
